Roberts Bakery Jobs Saved Through Rescue Deal
An investment from Boparan Private Office (BPO) has saved 433 jobs at Roberts Bakery.
A pre-pack deal, made for an undisclosed fee, has created a new company, Roberts Bakery 1887 Ltd, owned by entrepreneur Ranjit Singh Boparan.
- The deal was announced on 15 October.
- The new company is a reference to the year the Cheshire-based business was founded.
The fourth-generation family business produces bread under the Roberts Bakery brand.
The rescue deal comes after the company filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators.
