North Shore Bridge Closure
The Route 107 bridge in Saugus and Lynn has been closed indefinitely due to urgent repairs needed.
According to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), the closure will result in "extended" detours.
Findings from a recent bridge inspection required the closure of the bridge. The bridge will be closed until further notice. To ensure safety, vehicle loads must be removed from the affected sections until appropriate repairs can be completed.
The affected stretch of Route 107 is also known as the Salem Turnpike or Western Avenue.
