Chris White Impresses at Bathurst Debut
Christchurch motorsport star Chris White, the 2024-2025 Bridgestone GR86 Championship Rookie winner, made a notable debut at Bathurst, supporting the Bathurst 1000 event.
White secured his drive in the third round of the 2025 Toyota Australia GR Cup due to his rookie successes in New Zealand. Despite a huge crash in the first race, which ended his chance of progressing from 26th on the grid, he made significant improvements in the subsequent races.
- In the second race, he moved up to 22nd place.
- In the final race on Sunday, he achieved 14th place, showing solid progress.
We had set out to find the pace to be in or just outside the top ten within the three races so in the end getting to 14th with only two races was pretty satisfying.
