Demolition of Aquatic Park Slides and Lap Pool in St. Joseph
Demolition crews have begun removing the out-of-service slides and lap pool at Aquatic Park in St. Joseph.
The demolition of the two large dual slides started, and the lap pool is expected to be removed early next week.
The City Council approved a $239,000 demolition contract on September 2 to remove the aquatic features.
- The city plans to recycle the slides and other usable materials.
- The existing shallow activity pool and lazy river will remain and be available for residents in future pool seasons.
