Fentanyl Overdoses on the Rise in Nevada

Despite a reported 27% drop in overdose deaths in most states in 2024, Nevada continues to experience an uptick in fentanyl overdoses. According to the Southern Nevada Health District, Clark County saw 802 drug overdoses last year, with over 400 attributed to fentanyl.

The synthetic opioid remains the leading cause of fatal overdoses, with fentanyl-involved deaths surging 699.8% in the last six years. In response, Las Vegans are teaming up! to get Narcan training into neighborhood bars.

While most states saw a near 27% drop in overdose deaths in 2024, Nevada remained one of the top states still experiencing an uptick.
