Man Arrested for Sexually Exploiting 15-Year-Old
A 38-year-old man, Raymond Stephenson, was arrested during a traffic stop in Twiggs County for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl.
According to the Twiggs County Sheriff's Office, the arrest occurred on Wednesday at 11:53 pm when a patrol deputy pulled Stephenson over for a taillight violation on Highway 129 near Sgoda Road.
- The deputy noticed a female passenger in the front seat who claimed to be 17 years old but did not have any identification.
- Stephenson and the girl exhibited "visibly nervous behavior", prompting the deputy to ask them to step out of the vehicle.
It was later discovered that the girl was actually 15 years old and that Stephenson had traveled to Gwinnett County to pick her up and take her to his home in Dodge County.
No comment from the authorities or the suspect has been released.
