The current world climate has raised alarms for renewed investments in navies and merchant fleets as world powers compete for dominance of the seas.

Even with renewed interest in maritime, the Great Lakes still go largely under the radar, with the spotlight only finding the industry when things go wrong, rather than highlighting its large role in the U.S. economy and defense supply chain.

The Great Lakes maritime industry knows far too well that it is often overlooked.
