Bowling Green boys soccer dominated South Warren 4–0 to win the 4th Region Championship and advance to the state tournament, where they’ll face McCracken County for the first time this season.
The defending 4th Region champions left no doubt about who runs the region, powering past South Warren 4–0 to claim back-to-back boys’ soccer titles.
The Purples wasted no time asserting themselves, with
Baraka Gatsimbu opening the scoring midway through the first half with a clean finishto give Bowling Green a 1–0 advantage that held through halftime.
In the second half, a foul in the box by South Warren set up a penalty kick for Barzilai Ruelas, who calmly put it through to make it 2–0. Later in the second, Arron Hinojoza connected with Christian Ramirez for a perfectly placed shot into the back of the net. Ramirez would add another goal late in the match, closing out the Purples’ dominant 4–0 win.
