Los Angeles - Rickard Rakell, a top liner and scorer, is not a typical penalty killer. He scored a career-high 35 goals last season.
Filip Hallander, a fellow Swede, found his game as a top-line winger. On Thursday night, Rakell assisted Hallander's first NHL goal in the Penguins' 4-2 win over the LA Kings.
Hallander became the latest Penguins rookie to score his first NHL goal, following Harrison Brunicke and Ben Kindel. Despite being outplayed, the Penguins were tied 2-2 in the third period.
Rakell had a shorthanded two-on-one with Hallander and ripped a shot past LA goalie, but it hit the crossbar.
