Tasmania have secured a remarkable three-run victory over Western Australia in the Sheffield Shield, taking two late wickets to claim one of the tightest wins in the competition's history.
On the final morning in Hobart, Western Australia narrowed the margin to within seven runs of their target of 259 with two wickets in hand. However, left-hander Joel Curtis was adjudged lbw on 50 by a Riley Meredith ball, and Jackson Bird trapped No.11 Liam Haskett lbw with an in-swinging yorker, ending Western Australia's chase at 255.
