A massive fire broke out at the cargo section of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on Saturday afternoon, suspending all flight operations.
According to Talha Bin Zasim, an officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence Media Cell, the fire started at the cargo village of gate No. 8, with 36 firefighting units working to control the blaze.
"All our aircraft are confirmed safe. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops,"
a spokesperson for the airport said, as quoted by 'The Daily Star', Bangladesh's leading newspaper.
