A couple moved into a new apartment complex and received a complaint email from their property manager just one week later.
"You didn’t violate your lease so say so with some confidence,"
The email, shared on Reddit by u/calicooks, stated that neighbors had complained about loud noises and smoking inside the apartment. The property manager's email read:
"We have recently received several complaints of loud music and smoking coming from your unit. All smoking must be done outside at a minimum of 25 ft from the building. Please be respectful of your neighbors’ right to quiet enjoyment. These are lease violations of your lease. Thank you in advance for your cooperation."The couple was surprised by the email, as they did not expect to receive complaints so soon after moving in.
