AFN National Chief Responds to Proposed Bail Reforms
On October 24, 2025, National Chief Cindy Woodhouse Nepinak released a statement regarding the introduction of the Bail and Sentencing Reform Act by Minister of Justice Sean Fraser.
The proposed legislation aims to impose stricter sentencing and bail laws, reducing the incidence of bail through reverse onuses.
