The fifth-seeded River Hawks extended their season with a win over 12th-seeded Cony. Lydia Herrick and Mae Dubois each recorded a goal and an assist, leading Skowhegan to a 3-0 victory.
Morgan Flannery also scored, and Madi Flannery was credited with an assist as the River Hawks (13-1-1) advanced to a quarterfinal. Natalie Cooke made three saves for Skowhegan, while Onge of Cony (3-8-4) turned aside eight shots.
In another match, Temple Academy defeated Mountain Valley 5-1 in a Class C South preliminary round. Sofia Isgro scored a hat trick for the seventh-seeded Bereans (9-5) against the 10th-seeded Falcons (2-10-1).
