Activists to Rally for 'ICE Out of Portland' Protest and March
Activists are planning to meet for a march and rally opposing the increased presence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Portland.
The "ICE Out of Portland Rally and Protest" is scheduled to start at Elizabeth Caruthers Park at 1 p.m., with rallygoers then set to march to the ICE facility in South Portland.
Organizers say the event is being held in response to what they claim has been an "increased aggression that ICE and DHS officers" have shown toward protesters.
