ExxonMobil Expands Local Workforce in Guyana
As the oil and gas sector transforms Guyana's economy, opportunities are increasing for citizens. According to Alistair Routledge, President of ExxonMobil Guyana, approximately 1,800 Guyanese are now working offshore.
Routledge emphasized that growing the local workforce is a top priority, aiming to benefit as many Guyanese as possible through employment and business opportunities.
Overall, about 70 per cent of the oil and gas workforce in the country is Guyanese.
This development highlights the company's commitment to strengthening the local workforce and contributing to Guyana's economic growth.
