Soldier to Run Lake Garda Half Marathon for Charity

Lt Col Sean Greaves will participate in the Lake Garda Half Marathon on Remembrance Sunday to raise funds for The Royal Star and Garter charity, which has a home in Solihull.

The charity provides care and support for veterans and their families living with disability or dementia through its homes and community services, including lunch clubs and a national Telephone Friendship Service.

Sean was inspired to run for the charity due to its outstanding care and support for the Armed Forces community.

Sean has previously raised funds for the charity by completing the North Pole Marathon in 2007 with his brother and friend.

Sean started his military career as a Weapons Engineer in the Royal Navy from 1985 to 1996 and later served as a dental officer in the Army from 2000 to 2016.
