San Luis Obispo County has opened a new public safety communications center, marking a significant improvement in emergency response capabilities.
The center, located in Templeton, is a 20,193 square foot, two-story building that will house emergency dispatch services for the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office and San Luis Obispo County Fire Department under one roof.
According to county officials, the new facility will
greatly enhance and streamline emergency responses, particularly during times of significant incidents.
The new building replaces two outdated, undersized, and inefficient dispatch facilities previously used by both agencies.
