Hospital Redevelopment: First Year of Construction
Health Infrastructure has provided new details about the plans for the $200 million redevelopment of Bathurst Hospital.
Pre-construction activity is underway on the hospital campus, with site fencing and sheds being established as part of the early works.
Health Minister Ryan Park attributed the recent delays to "issues working out the contractual arrangements with the team from Health Infrastructure and the contractor".
The project was announced in June 2022, with construction initially forecast to start in early 2024, but has faced delays and is now expected to commence in the first quarter of 2025.
