Ottawa Senators Prepare for Home Opener
The Ottawa Senators are set to open their home schedule on Monday against the Nashville Predators, with defenceman Tyler Kleven expected to return from an ankle injury.
Kleven has been out since suffering the injury in the team's first exhibition game on September 21 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
"The goal right now is to play tomorrow," Kleven said on Sunday. "The progress has been good."
Winger Drake Batherson, who also participated in an optional skate on Sunday, does not expect to play until Wednesday in Buffalo.
The Senators will face the Predators at 1 p.m. on Monday at the Canadian Tire Centre.
