Wesleyan Football Team Continues Strong Season
The Wesleyan football team is on a quest to become NESCAC champions once again, with a current standing of 2-1 and four more identity-building contests.
The team recently played host to the Hamilton Continentals, a team they have dominated offensively in recent years. After a scoreless first quarter, the Cards struck first with a Blake Newcomb '27 touchdown reception.
- The defense returned the favor with a 4th-down stop on the Continentals' next possession.
- Quarterback Matt Fitzsimons '27 found Donte Kelly '29 for a 42-yard touchdown.
- Dylan Connors '26 stepped up on defense, picking off Hamilton's quarterback and taking the return down to the 6-yard line.
No different this season's matchup proved to be.
