Scott Woods, one of Canada's finest fiddlers, avoids mixing politics with his music, especially when touring and visiting the U.S.
Woods is set to embark on a Christmas tour, with stops in Sault and Bruce Mines, and had reached out to former collaborators Gary and Nadine Boles to join him.
They are long retired and living the good life, travelling in the big motorhome
However, the couple, who have worked with Woods on several albums and tours, didn't take his request seriously at first, as they are now enjoying their retirement.
Woods had told them that vocalist Naomi Bristow, a regular tour partner, was unavailable due to recently giving birth, and he could use their talents on the tour.
