As the fall season ends, a host of skeletons, witches, ghosts, and lots of pumpkins were seen in yards all around Ocracoke Island, playing a big part in decorations this year.
Judging for the Ocracoke Civic & Business Association Halloween Decorating Contest was held the evening of October. The anonymous judges had tough deliberations, stating:
“People did a good job,” and “There were a lot of strong contenders, and we thank everyone for their efforts.”
