Canada's tourism sector has generated a record-breaking revenue of $59 billion between May and August, a six per cent increase compared to the same period last year.
The increase was driven by strong domestic and international travellers, with domestic tourism up seven per cent and revenue from international travellers increasing by 10 per cent, particularly from overseas markets.
International events, such as the G7 in Kananaskis Country, Alberta, also contributed to the surge in tourism.
Canada’s tourism operators will remember the summer of 2025 fondly.
