After 6 days of fun and a final half-pot total of over $2.5 million, it's time to clean up the mess.
Officials reported record sales from many booths, with the proceeds going to various organizations in the Tri-State.
The cleanup process involved around 300 active West Side Nut Club members and 100 honorary members.
“It comes and goes, it’s a little tough sometimes depending on the number of people and that kind of thing, but most of the time it’s smooth,”
stated a volunteer, who has helped move a trailer for over 20 years.
Street sweepers took the place of the booths, marking the end of the festival.
