Nashville Predators rookie Matthew Wood scored his first NHL goal, but the team lost to the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1 on Thursday night.
The Preds outshot the Flyers 33-18, but couldn't capitalize on their opportunities. Alternate Captain Ryan O'Reilly expressed disappointment, saying
“Another tough loss - disappointing. Opportunities could have been different, but it’s the way it’s going right now. [We just have to] keep fighting.”
Head Coach Andrew Brunette also weighed in, stating
“It was a great effort, we played really well but didn’t get the result. I think we're all a little bit frustrated over it, but we’ve got to go through this. Every team does, and it's how we handle ourselves fighting through this.The team will look to bounce back from this loss.
