Abandoned German Shepherds Rescued from Michigan Pond
Rescuers at the Genesee County Animal Control in Flint, Michigan, faced a heartbreaking scene on Friday.
Two German shepherds, named Ringo and Star, were found trapped in a crate that had been dumped into Thread Lake at the Flint Golf Club.
- The dogs, estimated to be between 1.5 to 2 years old, managed to escape the crate after several hours.
- Ringo got stuck in the mud and was too weak to free himself, while Star ran to find help.
Star chased a nearby truck, barking and pleading for help, leading the good Samaritan back to the pond to rescue Ringo.
Unfortunately, despite the rescue efforts, one of the dogs did not survive.
