Republicans Support U.S. Military Strikes on Suspected Drug Boats
Republicans in the Senate rejected a Democrat-led proposal that would have required President Trump to obtain congressional approval before using the military to destroy suspected drug boats.
President Donald Trump and the Pentagon plan to continue using military strikes to destroy suspected drug boats in the Caribbean.
"We are taking the fight out to the seas where it needs to be,"
said Rep. Beth Van Duyne, R-Texas, to The Center Square, adding that hundreds of thousands of people are being murdered by drugs illegally pouring in over the borders.
