Ten Commandments Law in Victoria ISD
In June, Texas legislators passed a bill requiring the Ten Commandments to be posted in every public school classroom across the state.
Senate Bill 10 went into effect on September 1, and the Victoria Independent School District (VISD) began implementing the law on its campuses.
VISD started receiving donations of the Ten Commandments posters in September from individual donors and faith-based organizations.
- The district has received over 850 Ten Commandments posters.
- Donations are being processed in alignment with state requirements.
