Ten Commandments Law in Victoria ISD

In June, Texas legislators passed a bill requiring the Ten Commandments to be posted in every public school classroom across the state.

Senate Bill 10 went into effect on September 1, and the Victoria Independent School District (VISD) began implementing the law on its campuses.

VISD started receiving donations of the Ten Commandments posters in September from individual donors and faith-based organizations.

VISD has worked carefully to ensure that each contribution is processed in alignment with state requirements - Justin Gabrysch, VISD assistant superintendent of administrative services
