A top immigration official has warned that individuals found guilty of naturalization fraud may be stripped of their citizenship.
According to the director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Operation Twin Shield in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota has flagged over 1,000 suspected cases of fraudulent activity.
Denaturalization and prosecutions are on the table.
This comes after a joint operation by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) uncovered "mass patterns" of marriage and other immigration fraud in Minneapolis.
