NSW Health now has the power to make short-term closure orders of up to 90 days for premises selling illicit tobacco or illegal vaping goods without a licence.

Enforcement and Seizures

NSW Health inspectors, supported by NSW police, are carrying out raids and issuing closure orders on offending businesses.

During inspections, 3,860 illicit cigarettes and 224 illegal vapes were found and seized.
