Panthers to Face Wichita Carroll

Great Bend's football team is set to host Wichita Carroll in a second-round 5A showdown at Memorial Stadium on Friday.

According to Great Bend football coach Erin Beck,

"It's 5A West playoff time. We're at the point where we'll have to play four quarters. Our kids are fresh and ready to go."

The Panthers have a history with Wichita Carroll, having last beaten them in 2006 with a 21-14 victory that led to their lone trip to the 5A state football championship game.

The Eagles are a run-oriented team, led by dual-threat quarterback John Corrigan and main backfield threat Cooper Herrman.
