Discovery of New Sea Anemone Species

A team of marine biologists from Japan and Australia has discovered a new species of shell-forming sea anemone, Paracalliactis tsukisome, in Japanese waters.

This species secretes a unique shell-like structure known as a carcinoecium, expanding the living space of its host hermit crab.
