National Service of Remembrance, Sunday 9 November 2025
The National Service of Remembrance will take place at the Cenotaph on Whitehall, London, on Sunday, 9 November 2025. The ceremony begins at 11am and honors the service and sacrifice of British and Commonwealth military and civilian personnel who served in the two world wars and in later conflicts.
The event is coordinated by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) in partnership with colleagues from across government, the Armed Forces, and veterans’ organizations.
Attendance Information
- No tickets or passes are required for entry.
- The public is welcome to attend and view the ceremony from the pavements along Whitehall and Parliament Street.
- All visitors will undergo security screening, and access may be restricted once the area reaches capacity.
Viewing Facilities
To ensure good visibility for attendees, large screens will be set up in several key locations:
- North of the Cenotaph, near the green opposite the statue of Field Marshal Montgomery
- In the lay-by outside Dover House, between Horse Guards and Downing Street
- Close to the junction of Whitehall Place
