The co-stars discuss their thriller on Peacock, which seriously examines motherhood and the self-blame women experience when things go wrong.
For Sarah Snook, leaving her then-2-year-old daughter to work on the Peacock drama "All Her Fault" helped deepen her acting process. The show features her character, Marissa Irvine, a Chicago businesswoman who goes to pick up her son Milo from a playdate, only to find she is at the wrong house and Milo was never there.
“It was useful to kind of use my daughter,” Snook said in a video call. “What would it be like to have the situation happen to me? I understand that more in depth now being a parent.”
In the series, the mother who was supposed to pick Milo up, played by Dakota Fanning, denies knowing him, and the homeowner is equally unaware of the child’s whereabouts. This mysterious disappearance drives the tense and twisty narrative over the show’s eight episodes.
Snook admitted she couldn’t imagine replacing Milo with her own daughter in her mind. “If I had I would have just decided not to work. It’s too hard, it’s too much,” she shared.
