The Canadian Football League said it will not allow quarterback Brendan Sorsby to join any club for the 2026 season.
The league released the decision on Friday, June 26, 2026.

The CFL said all franchises are prohibited from signing Sorsby this year.
The National Football League also denied Sorsby's request to enter the Supplemental Draft.
DAZN affirmed the league's decision on the same day.
With both leagues closed, the Cincinnati Enquirer noted that Sorsby currently has just a single option to stay on the field.
