A building firm tied to a CFMEU scandal was lost its licence recently. Regulators declared the company was "not suitable" to hold a licence to operate. The decision comes after a number of investigations into tender irregularities linked to the union.
At the same time, union groups launched a public campaign on the anti-graft official who disclosed a $15 billion infrastructure rorts bill. The unions claim the investigator is harshly pursuing union members unfairly. Officials stated that the probe is part of a broader examination of the Big Build program.
