Congress passed the largest housing affordability bill in a generation recently. The measure intends to boost the supply of affordable homes and provide new financing tools. It passed the House and was forwarded to the President’s desk for enactment.
Five Republican senators voted against the bipartisan proposal. Their opposition did not halt the bill from passing both chambers. The legislation now requires the President’s decision.
