Massie loses primary challenge in victory for Trump
The race was Trump' most important stop on his revenge tour to oust Republican defectors.

Massie conceded after the results. primary was described as one of the costliest in House history, and a test of Trump's influence inside the GOP. Trump endorsed Gallrein publicly while Massie criticized Trump on certain votes. Gallrein moves forward to the general election in a deeply Republican district, facing Democrat Melissa Strange. Massie was first elected in 2012 and came under Trump's pressure in part by urging the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files and criticizing the war in Iran.
