All Access Scoop with Celia: What Inside the Big Brother House Is REALLY Like

Entertainment Writer Celia had an exclusive first look inside the Big Brother AU house before the housemates moved in. Here's what it’s really like.

When I first entered the Big Brother AU house at Dreamworld, I was immediately struck by a wave of awe. The colours, the lights, the atmosphere — everything felt dramatic yet fun and inviting. Being inside the house gave me a rush of excitement, similar to discovering a new favourite food that you can’t believe you’ve never tasted before and want to keep coming back to.

As New Idea's Entertainment Writer, I was fortunate to fly from Sydney to the Gold Coast to be among the first to explore the house ahead of the housemates' arrival. The event was part of their 2026 Upfront, held on a warm spring evening. Guests were welcomed by show host Mel Tracina, who hinted that an exciting season was coming.

Shortly after, we were guided through the house and given free reign to explore — I was honestly surprised by this.

What shocked me the most was the sheer size of the house. It features one main lounging area, several smaller hangout spots, a massive kitchen with a huge pantry, a spacious bedroom, a bathroom, and, of course, the famous diary room.

Outside, there is a well-equipped gym area, outdoor showers, two lounge sets for relaxing, a pool, and an outdoor dining table with enough seating for everyone.

When I first stepped foot into the Big Brother AU house at Dreamworld, I was hit with a wave of awe.

Author’s summary: The Big Brother house combines scale and style, offering a dramatic yet inviting atmosphere packed with numerous living and recreational spaces designed for comfort and excitement.
