Boyd Races Way to Scholar Athlete Nomination
Throughout this Friday Night Rivals season, the South Carolina National Guard will recognize exceptional student athletes from each participating school.
This week’s Friday Night Rivals Scholar Athletes of the Week Presented by The South Carolina National Guard are Preston Rhodes from Lugoff-Elgin and Jayden Boyd from Westwood.
Boyd is an individual and team track state champion, all-state in track and all-region in football. In the community, Boyd is a Kappa League member.
Next year, he plans on being a top recruit in football and track and would like to major in business management.
