Former Cwmbran High School Pupil Shortlisted for Cardiff Business Awards
A former Cwmbran High School pupil, Finlay Aston, has been shortlisted for the Cardiff Business Awards, specifically for the Young Business Person of the Year award.
Finlay, 18, from Ty Canol, received an email last Thursday informing him of the nomination, and he is
"still trying to process" the news.
After leaving school at 16, Finlay started a carpentry apprenticeship but later switched careers and moved into sales. He joined Complete Business Solutions in Cardiff in 2024, a company that supplies businesses with various products, including stationery, uniforms, and furniture.
Finlay credits his business studies teacher, Claire Ager, at Cwmbran High School, for inspiring his interest in business, saying:
"I always enjoyed her lessons".
