The Bantam River Riders played their last game at Max Clunie Field on Sunday, defeating the Hague Junior Panthers 27-8.
Coach Ashley Viklund noted that the matchup occurred due to unusual circumstances, as the team typically plays 12-a-side in the Kinsmen Football League, but this year they played six-a-side due to a lack of players.
“We typically in the fall play 12 –a-side in the KFL (Kinsmen Football League), but this year we didn’t have the people for that, so this was our first fall playing six -a-side,”
The River Riders came back from an 8-0 deficit at the half to secure their victory.
