Cabinet Approves Rationalisation of SSA Schools
The Meghalaya Cabinet has given its nod to the rationalisation of the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) schools, as announced by Minister and MDA Spokesperson Wailadmiki Shylla after the Cabinet meeting.
Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma and Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui recently met with SSA teachers, who requested a new pay structure and rationalisation of the SSA schools.
The minister was unable to provide data on the impact of the rationalisation scheme, stating that the department is still working on the details.
The Cabinet also approved the regularisation of special educators and similar professionals as mandated in a Supreme Court order.
