Victory Against Outsourcing
UNISON celebrates a major win against outsourcing, with members from Dorset preventing the introduction of a subco that would have affected 1,700 facilities staff.
“Every time we’ve seen a subco, we’ve launched a campaign against it – and this was no different,”
UNISON General Secretary Christina McAnea praised the campaign, saying
“Dorset’s victory is a brilliant example of how organising works”.
This victory is a huge win for porters, caterers, housekeepers, and other NHS facilities staff, protecting their terms and conditions, including pensions.
