High School Bands Shine at Moscow Competition
The Idaho Regional Championship, hosted by the University of Idaho's Kibbie Dome, brought together 14 marching bands from the Pacific Northwest.
Bands of America, a part of the nonprofit organization Music for All, organized the event, which is one of several competitions held nationwide.
It's rewarding to see their students' hard work pay off at the last competition of the year.
According to Spencer Martin, director of the Vandal Marching Band, this is the second year the University of Idaho has hosted the regional championship.
- Lewiston and Clarkston had the shortest drive to the event.
- Band directors Brendan Burns and Alex Lardie noted the bittersweet ending to the marching band season.
