California Democrats Urge Voters to Participate in Special Election
Assemblymember Gregg Hart, co-author of Proposition 50, is encouraging people to vote in the special election.
Hart, along with State Senator Monique Limón, worked to introduce Prop 50 after Texas added conservative seats to the House of Representatives.
- Prop 50 is the only issue on the California special election ballot.
- The proposition authorizes temporary changes to Congressional Districts Maps.
"It is a really important election and I'm glad that we are going to be celebrating soon, the polls are still open, we want people to get out and vote,"
said Hart during a conversation outside the Santa Barbara County Courthouse.
