Election Roundup: Lumberton City Council Members Reelected
Lumberton City Council members Melissa Robinson, John Carroll, John Cantey, and Owen Thomas have been reelected.
Each member won by a wide margin, with Cantey receiving 202 votes, more than 88% of the total, in Precinct 5.

- Write-in candidates: 27 votes
“First and foremost, I’d like to thank God, all of our church families, civic groups and especially the residents of Precinct 5 for entrusting me to a sixth term as their representative,”
Cantey, the senior member of Lumberton City Council, has served on the board since 2005 and won a sixth term.
