The Kindling competition, a European hospitality architecture and interior design contest for undergraduates, is now open for entries for 2025/26.
According to Meghan Taylor, the competition is a collaborative creation between Reardon!Smith Architects and MKV Design. The 2025/2026 Kindling competition, entitled Sanctuary, invites students to consider what hospitality spaces can offer to people who have been displaced from their home or community.
The competition is aimed at individuals and groups of students studying architecture, design, or a combination of both, and comprises two categories: architecture and interior design. The goal is to highlight the vision, insights, and creativity of tomorrow’s designers.
