A medieval tower near the Roman Forum has partially collapsed during renovation work, critically injuring at least one worker.
According to authorities, the tower, known as Torre dei Conti, collapsed on Monday, trapping one worker and injuring another.
A rescued worker was being treated in critical condition, while three other workers were rescued unharmed.
Firefighter spokesman Luca Cari confirmed that one worker remained trapped hours after the initial collapse.
